Fire involving a three storey and basement detached house measuring approximately 25m x 10m. On arrival fire fighters requested an aerial appliance and a further fire engine due the severity of the fire, which had affected the three floors above ground, and due to the number of breathing apparatus being used. A total of 6 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels were used to extinguish the fire, and high pressure fan used to clear the smoke. No persons were involved.
We currently have ten crews in attendance at a building fire on Town Street in Batley. This response also includes two aerial ladder appliances.
This is a three storey derelict mill, measuring 100m by 30m. The building is 50% involved in flame.
Crews are using large jets and hose reel jets to tackle the flames.
Those in the local area are being asked to avoid Town Street if possible and keep doors and windows shut.

Domestic property fire in terraced house - Potential for fire spread to a further 5 properties.

8 to 9 properties have been evacuated. Local residents advised to keep windows and doors closed and stay away from the area if possible.
Ten crews have been in attendance at a fire at the old Durker Roods Hotel on Bishops Way in Meltham.
Crews were called at 16.14 to reports of a fire, and found the first floor of the building approximately 50% involved in fire.
Firefighters have used large jets and breathing apparatus to tackle the flames.
There are no reports of any casualties.

Mid terrace property fire, property size approximately 10m x 10m with 100% of roof involved in fire. Crews attending used an aerial appliance, 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 large jet to extinguish fire.
Firefighters from across West Yorkshire are currently tackling a large building fire at Canal Mills in Armley, Leeds.
Residents in Armley and Leeds City Centre are advised to keep their doors and windows closed due to the heavy smoke from the fire.
Additionally, the public is urged to avoid the area if possible, due to the large amount of emergency vehicles dealing with the incident.
3 domestic properties involved in fire. 2 of these properties were 100% involved in fire. Fire crews used 4 hose reels, 2 large jets, 4 breathing apparatus and 1 aerial appliance to extinguish fire. There were 7 casualties, all of which were out of the properties when fire crews arrived. Police and Ambulance also attended.
Building containing Lithium Ion batteries 100% involved in the fire, building size is 30m x 30m, no exposure risks to surrounding property, 4 ground monitors used to extinguish the fire.
Local residents and anyone in the vicinity are advised to stay indoors with windows and doors shut and air conditioning switched off.
Crews were called to a fire in a house in Methley.
Whilst 3 fire engines were on route, Fire Control sent a 4th appliance to assist due to the information from callers.
On arrival, the incident commander requested an aerial appliance also to assist.
Crews used 3 hosereel jets, 2 large jets and 4 fire fighters in breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.
