We were called at 08.04 today to reports of a fire at Oatland Towers.
We currently have seven crews in attendance plus our aerial ladder from Bradford and our command and welfare units.
The top two floors (15 and 16) have been evacuated.
Flat fire, kitchen involved, chip pan left unattended, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan were used to extinguish the fire, there were no injuries.
Reports received of a derelict building on fire. On arrival crews made pumps 5 confirming this was a 50m x 30m derelict building involved. Fire was confirmed as being on the third floor, 10% involved. 2 hose reels, 1 jet and 6 breathing apparatus sets were used by crews to extinguish the fire.
Flat fire on 3rd floor of Highrise building. 4 fire engines and an aerial appliance on scene.
Building fire, make pumps 8 and 1 Aerial appliance, this is a 3 storey building measuring approx., 125m by 25m, 25% involved in fire affecting 3 of the floors.
3 sectors are in use and crews using are using 1 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel and 2 large jets to extinguish the fire.
Reports of smoke coming from windows of top floor of 3 storey building. On arrival, crews made pumps 10, persons reported. This is a timber framed building in an eco development, the fire is on the second floor. 4 breathing apparatus, 3 hose reel jets and 2 large jets in use. There proved to be no persons involved.
Crews are attending to a 2-storey building approx. 25m x 15m. Ground floor 50% involved. Crews using 4 breathing apparatus, 1 large jet and 1 hosereel to tackle the fire. On arrival, the initial crew requested a total of 4 fire engines and 1 aerial appliance be mobilised to the incident.
UPDATE 25/08/2023 00:50 Incident now reduced to 2 fire engines; crews damping down with 2 hosereels.
UPDATE 25/08/2023 01:45 1 crew now assisting Fire Investigation.
UPDATE 25/08/2023 02:40 All Fire Service personnel have left the scene.
Fire crews from across the region are in attendance at a derelict building fire on Riverside Estate, Shipley.
10 appliances are in attendance with specialist support units including aerial appliance.
Residents local to the area are advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke from the fire.
