Just after 2:40am we received reports of a fire inside a commercial building on Bradford Road, Batley. 

On arrival, fire crews escalated the incident to six crews and two aerial appliances, and then further increased to ten crews.  Fire crews are currently using three large jets, two aerial appliances, two hose reels and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze.

Building fire, make pumps 6 and aerials 1.  This is a 3 storey end terrace building fire, 15m x 15m.  Fire on ground floor of building. Crews used 6 breathing apparatus, 3 large jets, 1 hose reel and high powered fans to extinguish the fire.  Incident also required the co operation of Yorkshire Water, Northern Powergrid and Bradford Council to assist crews.

 

Building fire - Make pumps 5 and Aerials 2 - Fire in flats above row of 5 shops. Building measuring 25 metres x 30 metres, crews have used 3 jets, 4 breathing apparatus and Aerial appliance to deal with the fire. No persons involved

Ten pumps at Leeds city centre derelict high rise fire. On going incident. Top three floors still alight. Safety cordon in place and surrounding buildings have been evacuated due to potentially unsafe structure of the derelict building. West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is working with West Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service. The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) is also in attendance.

Fire involving 20% of loft space in a two-storey detached property.  Property measured approximately 12m x 10m.  2 hose reels and 2 breathing apparatus were used.  An aerial appliance was requested but turned back as not required.

Request from Ambulance to assist moving a male casualty with fractured femur after falling off a ladder and then down internal stairs.  An aerial appliance was requested to attend and after further assessment Technical Rescue Unit was also mobilised.  Casualty was rescued using the aerial appliance.  Ambulance HART team were also in attendance. 

Six fire appliances are in attendance at a commercial building fire in Shafton Lane, Holbeck, Leeds.   

Building 10m x 30m, 70% involved in fire.  Crews are using two breathing apparatus, one large jet and one hose reel to tackle the fire.

Residents nearby are advised to keep doors and windows closed due to large amount of smoke in the area.
 

Fire crews are currently dealing with a fire inside a flat in a 17-storey building in Wellington Street, Leeds.

Six pumps are in attendance along with two aerial platforms at West Point flats.

There are no reports of persons involved and residents in other flats are being advised to stay put as the fire is brought under control.
